What are the responsibilities and job description for the Change Order Support Specialist position at VTG Defense?
VTG is seeking Change Order Support Specialist to support our Virginia Beach office.
What will you do?
Summary: Apply technical knowledge involved with the installation & and removal procedures onboard USG vessels & shore installations to complete and submit Change Order Request Notification (CORN) documents to the USG in a timely manner. Utilize knowledge base to understand & solve complex changes and alterations to various SOWs (Scope of Work) as well as drafting SOWs in support of Vendor & Sub-Contractor requests to be applied to CORN documentation.
- Receiving, responding to, and uploading government furnished information (GFI) into VTG system repositories.
- Management & organization of VTG repositories pertaining to Change Team functions.
- Reviewing project drawings for material changes post-award for CORN submission.
- Reviewing and applying engineering alterations (Red Lines) to project Drawings.
- Reviewing and interpreting Project Work Scope (PWS) revisions for CORN submission.
- Development of Change Orders based on contractual changes to open Task Orders.
- Utilizing general mathematical skills to develop & implement quoting metrics.
- Management and completion of assigned tasks as directed by Team Lead.
- Supporting VTG Project Management Teams with timely CORN submissions.
- Following all appropriate procedures when accomplishing tasks.
- Ensuring tasks are completed within government, military, and/or customer standards.
Do you have what it takes?
- Experience with a technical subject such as computer science, engineering, telecommunications, or IT.
- Experienced in developing the following types of documentation;
- Technical Manuals and user guides
- Policies and procedures
- Document updating
- Knowledge of C4ISR Systems
- Knowledge Articles
- SOPs
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, or communications is desirable
