VTG is seeking a Logistics Specialist III to provide product support and in-service logistics support to the NAVAIR PMA-207 Program Office. Specifically, provide analysis of Product Support Elements within the organization designed to provide the Acquisition, In-Service and Sustainment support to the Product Support Manager and Assistant Program Managers for Logistics at PMA-207 Program Office, Patuxent River, MD.
Responsibilities:
- In support of PMA-207 Product Support, the Logistics Specialist will provide logistics support documentation and source data, such as logistics operational management/user documents, integrated logistics support plans, user logistics support summaries, post-production support plans, and logistics implementation plans.
- The candidate will be responsible for the implementation of Product Support plans, databases and support files to support the fielding of new complex systems or major modifications.
- They will apply Product Support principles and methods to specialized logistics solutions.
- As part of their overarching Product Support tasks, they will analyze Product Support data from established logistics databases and provide recommendations to the Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (APML).
- As a Level III Logistics Specialist, they will be required to work independently and lead the implementation of logistics improvement recommendations as directed by the Government.
Education: BS or BA degree.
Allowable Substitution: An additional five (5) years of acquisition or logistics management experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
Experience - At least twelve (12) years of experience in operational logistics support or in-service sustainment of weapon system platforms. Experience must include: Four (4) years in the performance of comprehensive analysis across the spectrum of Product Support elements during a job assignment in or in support of an acquisition command/operational command weapon system.
Allowable Substitution: An MS or MA degree can be substituted for four (4) years operations logistics experience.
Work hours will be in direct support of the client; therefore, hours may be fluid at times in order to meet customer/operational requirements. Work schedule flexibility is required. Possible telework opportunities exist per NAVAIR guidance.
