Overview
VTG is seeking a Program Analyst (Metrics / Analytics) for the Navy Program Executive Office (PEO) Ships. Position will be onsite at the Washington Navy Yard.
What will you do?
Candidate will need experience in building visualizations, dashboards and performing data analytics. Preferably having experience using Tableau interactive data software to support the further development of our performance to plan schedule management efforts, providing direct support to the Industrial Assessment Director for the analysis and research.
- Analytical reasoning skills, with experience in Analytics Platform and Analytics Solutions
- Configuring reports in alignment to Tableau standards, requirements, and best practices
- Experience building and maintaining Tableau visual dashboards
- Experience in information visualization turning data into professionally designed dashboards.
- Building, developing, and maintaining repeatable, accurate, and credible metrics, dashboards, and reports, to better integrate processes.
- Ensuring dashboards and reports are configured correctly and meet the standards set by Tableau.
- Identifying and leveraging Tableau capabilities for specific dataset and use cases, assess data sources to optimize quality and accuracy of reporting output.
- Proficiency in creating analytic pipelines, handling analytical datasets, and using analytical instruments.

- Design and implement data models to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
- Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Be able to understand, identify and effectively communicate risk, opportunities, and challenges.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decision-making.
- Proficiency in Data Analysis Tools and Data Extraction.
- Design, develop, and update operational and performance metrics that measure the status of objectives and their impact.
- Collect and analyze data from various sources.
- Prepare reports and presentations.

Pay Range : VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $65,000-80,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
