Overview
VTG is seeking a Submarine Electronic Technician to support multiple projects.
What will you do?
In this role, you will be responsible for building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying electrical and electronic components and systems. Key responsibilities include assembling components according to specifications, conducting functional and environmental tests, diagnosing and resolving issues, and implementing corrective actions. You will also modify systems for performance enhancements, ensure compliance with industry standards, and maintain accurate documentation of all processes.
- Serve as a technical leader for advanced installations, guiding project execution and ensuring adherence to standards. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
- Perform layout and mechanical assembly procedures for submarine CSRR and CANES-related racks. Report any issues or concerns to the lead engineering technician.
- Install copper and fiber optic cabling across various submarine platforms, utilizing cableway routing and isometric drawings to ensure accurate placement.
- Conduct testing on installed system components, including continuity and megger tests, fiber optic light and loss tests, voltage frisks, wet / dry torque values, and tempest inspections.
- Analyze and interpret test data to assess system performance and identify potential issues.
- Complete technical reports and objective quality evidence documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Verify the functionality of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance before System Operational Verification Testing
