Responsibilities
- Create and maintain standard work instructions, SOPs, 5S checklists, EQAs, and standard work audits.
- Identify opportunities for improvement through observation and root cause analysis
- Support / coach staff on MDI (Managing for Daily Improvement) principles
- Complete weekly audits to ensure sustainment of processes
- Maintain tracking and metrics for audits and quality data
- Review quality reports, provide detailed feedback to managers. Support improvement actions (point kaizen focused)
- Must be hands on looking for ways to improve quality, drive root cause issues back to originator when a quality issue arises.
- Assist in follow-up for kaizen events; participate as needed
- Mentor team members on lean / continuous improvement concepts and practices
- Assist all employees in the implementation and sustainment of progressive 5S
