We are looking for a Lab Scientist in a supporting role to assist in executing process development projects, process improvement, scale down, technology transfer, and support of manufacturing operations for our LA Area client.

Position Overview:
- Length of Contract – 9 months
- Experience Level –Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Location – Los Angeles (full-time onsite)
- Candidate must already live within driving distance from the Glendale LA client site
- Schedule – Mon-Fri daytime (40 hours per week)
- Resource available to start January 2025
- Performs experiments in small scale to assess process changes/improvements.
- Evaluates performance and suitability of new technologies and process changes by testing and reporting different critical parameters.
- Performs trials and experiments, participate into the design and scale-up of new technologies.
- Conducts routine bases analytical tests to evaluate and control product yield, purity and impurity profiles.
- Works closely with other Lab team members to support the upkeep, maintenance, and efficient utilization of the lab.
- Write SOPs, batch records, and develop research outlines for development projects.
- Utilize robust statistical analysis to draw appropriate conclusions from the data.
- Knowledge of protein purification techniques.
- Experience in protein process development.
- Knowledge of analytical tools for analysis of proteins.
- Experience with DOE (design of experiments), six sigma, and lean manufacturing a plus.
- Knowledge of GMPs.
- Good interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work in cold environment.

Salary : $66,000 - $105,000
