Key Responsibilities:
Safety First: Adhere to all company safety practices and policies at all times.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks (valid certifications required).
Load Preparation: Verify the completion of loads based on the load schedule and customer orders.
Trailer Management: Determine trailer availability and plan the number of trailers required for shipment.
Review Plans: Locate, review, and follow the load plan to ensure products are loaded according to specifications.
Banding and Securing Loads: Band double-stacked items together and ensure products are secured properly to prevent damage during transport.
Order Accuracy: Add any required accessories to customer orders, verifying quantities and ensuring the correct products are shipped to the correct customers.
Label Checking: Ensure all units are correctly labeled and positioned according to customer requirements.
Loading: Efficiently load products onto trailers, following the designated load plan and securing them with straps and tie-downs.
Trailer Preparation: Clean and prepare trailers prior to loading for the next shipment.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear PPE such as safety glasses and hearing protection as required by company policies.
Teamwork: Work independently or collaborate with team members as assigned, fostering a positive and responsible work environment.
Attendance: Maintain regular attendance and be available for 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, with occasional mandatory overtime.
Daily Production Meetings: Actively participate in daily production meetings to stay informed of any changes or priorities.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Licensing: Valid forklift and pallet jack licenses required.
Experience: Prior experience in shipping, warehouse, or material handling operations is preferred.
Attention to Detail: Strong ability to verify accuracy and follow procedures.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy materials, stand, bend, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Dependability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in both independent and team settings.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and move products up to 50 lbs.
