What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemistry Tutor-Student Employment (Workstudy Eligibility Preferred) position at VTSU?
Tutors for General Chemistry will work one-on-one with individual students, or can create study groups. Tutoring will include helping students understand General Chemistry concepts, prepare for labs, work through practice problems, and study for quizzes/exams. (Tutors can help students in a very general way with homework, but are not allowed to give so much help that they are in effect doing the homework for the student.) Success in General Chemistry, AND recommendation of General Chemistry professors.
