The School of STEM Department of Natural Sciences at Vermont State University invites applications for a Part-Time teaching position for Fall 2024 (August 26 - December 20, 2024).

The course to be taught is:   PHY 1051 - Physics I

3 hours of Lecture and 3 hours of Laboratory Instruction per week at VTSU Williston Campus

This course is a thorough algebra-based study of the basic principles of physics. Topics include systems of measurement; dynamics, including motion, acceleration, forces producing motion, work, energy, and power; momentum and the conservation laws; statics, including concurrent and noncurrent forces; and fluids.

Minimum Qualifications: 
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree or better in Physics, Mathematics, a related field or equivalent experience in the field.  Teaching experience at the college level is preferable.

Salary: 
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
