What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Project Coordinator position at Vulcan Industries, Inc?
Major manufacturer of custom municipal wastewater treatment equipment is seeking a qualified project coordinator. The position shall coordinate multiple equipment orders after sales and through fabrication. The position reports to the Engineering manager but also coordinates with sales, purchasing, electrical and fabrication departments as well as customers, contractors and Engineering firms.
The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
Prepare detailed equipment layout drawings
Custom design equipment accessories
Prepare written specifications
Generate operation and maintenance manuals
All of which shall be in accordance with individual project requirements
Generate and/or assist in the development of fabrication drawings
Prepare bills of materials
Provide design support to factory service personnel and customers
The following general skills are required:
Effective use of Microsoft Office
Strong 2D AutoCAD abilities
Adobe Acrobat
General mechanical knowledge
Have prior office experience
Must possess strong English verbal and written communication skills
Be able to work as a team player
Superior organizational and critical thinking skills
Education requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Associates degree in drafting or pre-engineering preferred
This is not a telecommuting position
