Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker with a strong construction background to join our real estate team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and improvement of residential and/or commercial properties. Your hands-on construction knowledge will be a valuable asset in completing both routine and complex maintenance tasks across multiple trades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, structures, and common areas.
- Handle general repairs in carpentry, drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and HVAC as needed.
- Identify and address safety hazards or property damage promptly.
- Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and property managers in a timely, professional manner.
- Complete minor remodeling or renovation projects, including framing, finish work, and flooring.
- Assist with property turnovers, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs between tenants.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance inventory.
- Collaborate with contractors or vendors when outsourcing is required, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and work performed.
- Comply with all safety protocols, building codes, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or trade school training a plus.
- Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on experience in construction or general contracting.
- Proficiency in multiple trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, etc.).
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, manuals, or schematics is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
