Job Description
As a Procurement Specialist – Merchandise and Infrastructure on the Supply Chain team, you will make a positive impact by:
- Coordinate and execute purchase orders for various departments, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D, and Quality.
- Negotiate best pricing with suppliers, creating cost down opportunities.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure adherence to best practices in purchase order structuring, accurately capturing appropriate financial category, cost center and purchasing group.
- Monitor all expenditures to prevent duplicate purchases and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Oversee capex projections and amortization schedules, working closely with manufacturing to monitor equipment schedules.
- Develop and manage an approval process based on the value and release strategy of purchases.
- Monitor delivery and completion dates within SAP, confirm receipt of goods or services, upload necessary documentation into SAP, and perform purchase order reception.
- Escalate any deviations from expected deliverable timelines to the relevant department leads.
- Process supplier setup requests from multiple departments within the finance portal.
- Manage industrial purchases across all manufacturing sites, ensuring timely implementation.
- Collaborate with engineering to capture all costs associated with engineering change requests, maintaining clear and organized projections.
- Run system reports, validate information, and prepare for broader communications
Qualifications
Qualifications we’re looking for.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement or purchasing.
- 2 years of SAP experience required.
- Skills:
- Outstanding human relations, negotiating and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of various financial categories.
- Abilities:
- Work independently and in a collaborative and team-based environment.
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in supply chain, business, finance or other related discipline.
