Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local/Regional Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently within designated routes. This role requires proficiency in operating various types of vehicles, including trucks with manual transmission, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate semi truck with 53ft reefer unit
- Load and unload freight securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Provide excellent customer service while delivering goods, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while driving and handling materials.
- Upload paperwork in a timely manner with Bol's with company system for loads
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving for 2 yrs.
- Proficiency in operating with flexible start times for local/regional position.
- Have reefer experience .
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Good driving record, with verifiable work experience.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members professionally.
Equipment:
- Volvo or Freightline 2018 - 2020 w/sleeper
- Governed at 72 mph
