Role Summary :
This position is part of the Technical Program Management (TPM) and Digital Solutions (DS) Team of VWGoA's Engineering and Environmental Office (EEO). EEO is responsible for tasks related to Emissions Certification, On-Board Diagnostics (OBD), In-Use Testing, Agency Reporting and Monitoring & Steering of regulations. TPM is a support function for the other technical teams.
This position is manages current and future projects for the various technical teams with focus on vehicle homologation related activities. This includes alignment of work packages with stakeholders in Europe, U.S. and Mexico.
Role Responsibilities :
Project Management (80%)
- Provides Project Management support for EEO's Management Team for special projects
- Provides Project Management support for technical teams in EEO for existing and new tasks and projects with focus on Emission Certification, OBD and Digital Solutions (e.g., tracking and billing of test vehicles, coordination with internal / external stakeholders, status tracking of applications) to support the on-time execution of the departments responsibilities
- Works closely with EEO's Principle Project Engineers and supports their PM responsibilities by managing assigned sub-tasks
- Tracks budget, time, resource and milestones for assigned projects
- Leads independently projects as assigned
- Prepares and documents meetings and alignment workshops and follows up on open items
- Creates regular project status summaries and presents them to project stakeholders and leadership in the US and Germany
- Participates in Steering Committee meetings and working groups as needed
- Sets up and leads project working groups
- Creates required project documentation, e.g., charters, timelines, summaries
- Ensures knowledge transfer to technical teams including alignment of needed process and training documentations

Internal AssessmentsDevelops, with support of other Technical Program Management Functions, the annual internal Review and Assessment Plan for EEO to ensure that Risk Mitigation Strategies, Management Controls and all Compliance Management System requirements have been followed appropriatelyPerforms independently internal reviews of the processes, work instructions and policies including operative sampling according to the Assessment Plan incl. documentation of resultsSupports identification of Corrective Actions for identified deviations and tracks implementation of suchSupports internal and external audits from Third-party auditors and VWGoA / VW AG's Internal Audit Departments including presentation of internal assessment results during auditsDocument RetentionObserves role as EEO's "Records Coordinator"Complies and retains relevant documents according to VWGoA standards, guidelines and policiesCoordinates the digitalization of paper documents and supports the teams with this effortWorks with the Office of General Counsel (OGC) to clarify retention requirements and aligns such to regulatory requirements (e.g., Clean Air Act, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), California Code of Regulations (CCR))Reviews department specific data retention policy on at least an annual basis to ensure it is up to date with all requirementsTrains staff on data retention requirementsCross-departmental supportSupports day-to-day activities of technical teams as temporary assignment, e.g., during work peaksYears of Experience :
5 years of professional experience in automotive industryEducation - Required :
Bachelor's Degree (preferred in Engineering or a technical field)Education - Desired :
