Position Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst position will play an important role in the company’s growth by proactively partnering with business leaders to drive the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly reporting & analysis processes. You will be asked to provide financial insights on key strategic decisions and act as a thought partner to support resource allocation decisions and drive corporate growth and profitability.

Join our dynamic team in a remote capacity, but please note our core operating hours align with Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis of company performance, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to assist management in making informed decisions to drive growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data and insights for strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Identify key financial metrics and KPIs to track and evaluate business performance.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning including a quarterly rolling forecast.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance department.
  • Use best practices, automation, and new technologies to help the finance department scale as the organization grows.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Three to five years in Financial Planning and Analysis or a similar role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree: Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, CFA, or MBA a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across a fast-paced, dynamic company.
    • Proven experience in FP&A or similar role, preferably in a corporate finance or investment banking environment.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, draw conclusions, and develop strategic recommendations.
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business strategy or initiatives into financial models and/or in-depth analysis.
    • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, financial software, and ERP systems. Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
    • Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our systems and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help wherever necessary.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
    • Experience within a start-up environment and an understanding of the healthcare industry (e.g., revenue and reimbursement models), specifically providers and health plans, is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $100,000-$115,000, annually: Pay for this position will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to: your prior experience and skills related to the position, geographic location, company needs, and current market demands.
