Job Overview
As a Host/Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to warmly welcome guests, manage reservations, and ensure that all patrons are seated in a timely manner. You will work closely with the restaurant team to create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient seating of guests based on their preferences and party size.
- Handle reservations and waitlists using Toast POS OpenTable or similar systems.
- Provide information about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies to guests.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance their dining experience.
- Uphold high standards of customer service and hospitality throughout each shift.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with guest services and guest relations principles is advantageous.
- Strong phone etiquette skills for handling reservations and inquiries effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest interactions.
