Summary :

The Chemist II will support the Quality Control Laboratory in analytical testing in compliance with GMP and GDP requirements. Compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), SOPs, and Safety Procedures.

Responsibilities : Responsibilities

Performs analytical testing pursuant to available qualified methods of analysis, including but not limited to :

moisture analysis, tapped / bulk density, particle size via sieving method, UV-Vis spectrometry, FTIR spectrometry, TOC, HPLC and UPLC chromatography, dissolution, disintegration, weighing, etc. Performs multiple tasks in the proper sequence to effectively obtain analytical data. Quality control chemists must be team and goal oriented.

Under general supervision, and / or standard operating procedures, analytical testing procedures, final submission ready documents, and create document templates for use by team members

Qualifications : Qualifications

Minimum of year (2) year of experience in quality control laboratory or related field.

BS in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field

Possesses a genuine desire to work in Quality Control Laboratory truly likes working within all aspects of the chemistry process.

Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs., climb step-up ladders, and perform constant motions of scooping, wiping, raising of arms, bending, and kneeling, if needed

Ability to be exposed to nutraceutical raw materials and powders which may include allergen related items

Ability to comprehend basic computer knowledge

Exhibits the ability to work well with others and maintain organization between cross-related departments.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to address audiences at varying levels.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Experience in food / pharmaceutical processing operations, FDA regulated industry, or combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to perform the job successfully (preferred)

A reasonable estimate of the current Salary range for this position is $66,560 - $68,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and / or education.
