Summary :
The R&D Lab Technician (gummy) is responsible for supporting new product development, manufacturing, and improvement of existing products within the dietary supplements industry. This role effectively utilizes standard best practices and procedures in product and process development. Supports technology advancements to drive innovation and point of difference for the brands. Interfaces with Manufacturing, Technical Operations, Purchasing and other cross-functional areas to accomplish project goals.
Responsibilities :
Your primary activities will include but are not limited to :
- Support processes bridging R&D and Operations, including new product commercialization, continuous improvements, and troubleshooting existing products in manufacturing.
- Assist R&D in developing processes for new pipeline projects and product launches under senior formulator / manager guidance.
- Troubleshoot product manufacturing issues, including creating new procedures and deviations for batches.
- Collaborate with Senior Formulators, managers, and technicians to create and conduct benchtop and pilot batches, write master batch records, raw material specifications, finished production specifications, and stability testing documents.
- Access various systems and programs such as SAP, Q-drive, X-drive, W-drive to gather information and data necessary for creating master documents and specifications.
- Collect manufacturing data.
- Maintains accurate records of all development projects.
- Prepares and initiates technical documents such as raw material and bulk specifications, SOPs, technology transfer document, and any other relevant documents for the development and commercialization of the products.
- Prepares stability, consumer, and clinical samples.
- Perform physical testing of products and raw materials, including disintegration, friability, density, particle-size analysis, texture analysis, brix, pH, etc.
- Set up, operate, and clean R&D Lab equipment.
- Adhere to SOPs and QC practices, demonstrating strong organizational skills. Maintain cleanliness and order of lab and equipment.
- The ideal candidate is a collaborative and self-motivated, capable of applying learnings to develop new products, processes, and equipment.

A reasonable estimate of the current Hourly range for this position is $22.00 to $26.00. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and / or education.
