Heavy Equipment Mobile Mechanic/Road Tech required for equipment fleet maintenance and repairs in the field.
Our company is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mobile Mechanic/Road Tech to perform general maintenance and mechanical work on our equipment fleet in the field.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing general maintenance and repairs on equipment, including gas and diesel, medium and heavy-duty trucks, and small engine equipment.
- Diagnosing issues and making all necessary repairs, including replacing worn or damaged parts.
- Providing regular servicing of heavy equipment, including using jacks, cranes, and hand-held tools to dismantle and reassemble parts.
- Inspecting, removing, and installing engines, transmissions, axles, and transfer cases.
- Examining critical parts and operating components of heavy equipment for possible wear and tear, defects, or other damage.
- Testing equipment and machines on a regular schedule to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely.
- Maintaining and documenting routine maintenance checks and required inspections.
Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years' of relevant experience and familiarity with diesel engines, hydraulics, and off-road equipment. A CDL is preferred, along with ASE and other applicable certifications.
