W.A. Petrakis Contracting operates across Western Pennsylvania and continues to grow. Services include installation of sewer/water & gas lines, directional drilling, hydro-vac excavating, pump stations & milling/paving restoration.
W.A. Petrakis Contracting is seeking a dependable Gas Line Service Foreman to lead the daily activities of a Service Line crew that will focus on residential and commercial services for peoples gas. The right individual for the role will be high-energy, organized, and dependable, have a demonstrated history of effectively leading and managing a crew of people, and enjoy working in a growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
· Crew Leadership: Lead and supervise a crew of 1-2 team members, ensuring clear communication and team motivation.
· Project Execution: Plan and oversee all aspects of installing Gas line services behind a Main line Digging crew.
· Quality Control: Monitor work progress to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.
· Material Management: Coordinate material deliveries, calculate material needs, and ensure efficient use to minimize waste.
· Problem Solving: Address issues on-site, making real-time adjustments to ensure project goals are met.
· Reporting: Track and document daily job progress, material usage, and crew performance. Communicate regularly with project management staff.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in installing Natural Gas lines from Curb Stop to Meter.
· Must be able to do internal Plumbing
· Run a Rigid Pipe threader
·Move Natural Gas meters from inside the house to outside the house
· Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train crew members.
· Valid PA driver’s license with clean driving record
· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
·Good communication skills to work effectively with the crew and residents

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
