Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate daily progress of drivers to ensure consistency and maximum productivity
- Monitor drivers to ensure proper time management and timely and accurate delivery of orders
- Makes appropriate decisions to ensure that heavy routes are supported so that all stops are completed in a timely manner.
- Supervises Same Day deliveries as necessary
- Effectively builds relationships with customers to create customer loyalty and encourages all drivers to do the same
- Handles difficult customer and employee situations appropriately
- Establishes an open line of communication with employees and addresses issues in a timely manner
- Communicates with Branch Manager and Warehouse Manager daily regarding issues or concerns
- Works independently and manages time appropriately
- Covers delivery routes daily
- Familiar with all routes for all drivers assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Able to communicate effectively with customers, drivers and Branch Management with an Ability to converse, read and write in English
- Outstanding driving record
- Able to lead by example
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of Driving Experience
- Some Supervisory Experience
- Current D.O.T Card
- License Preferred: CDL Class A or B
