JOB OVERVIEW:
The Project Manager will oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. The Project Manager will also be responsible for coordinating tasks with superintendents and subcontractors, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring the successful project closeout. Strong communication with designers, owners, and subcontractors is essential to foster positive relationships and ensure smooth project execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and manage comprehensive project budgets, ensuring financial accuracy and accountability.
- Lead project estimating, bidding, and preparation of detailed proposals for new and ongoing projects.
- Negotiate and finalize purchase orders, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.
- Create and oversee project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of all tasks and milestones.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts and daily logs.
- Implement and monitor quality control and safety standards across all phases of construction.
- Coordinate daily operations with Superintendents and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow.
- Manage material procurement and monitor timely deliveries to job sites to prevent delays.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with designers, owners, and subcontractors to foster collaboration.
- Coordinate and maintain vendor and supplier database records, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
- Review submittals and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Oversee project closeout processes, ensuring all documents and deliverables are completed and compliant.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred
- 2-3 years of experience managing commercial construction projects
SKILLS:
- Strong leadership and management abilities with a keen attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF
- Experience with scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Primavera)
- Familiarity with estimating and project management software (Excel, PROCORE, Planswift)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
