SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking self-motivated, dependable, hard-working Asphalt Laborer to join our team. A successful candidate should be able to work in a crew environment and have some general knowledge of asphalt and/or underground utility installation.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Shovel and lute asphalt
- Follows and understands project instructions and plans from supervisors
- Assists with installation of new pipes in trench for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains
- Demonstrate working knowledge of paving and underground utility installation
- Follows all safety regulations when operating equipment and wears appropriate PPE on site (proper headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and clothes)
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years or older
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to work in a crew-based environment
- Previous asphalt paving experience; screed experience is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Must be able to work in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and meet necessary deadlines
- Must follow all company rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, etc.
