The Shipping and Receiving / Warehouse Associate is responsible for packing, shipping and receiving inventory on a daily basis. This position handles product in the form of forklift and aerial lift equipment parts and accessories. Responsibilities include taking orders both via paper and electronically and fulfilling them as well as troubleshooting and tracking backorders and missed shipments. The Shipping and Receiving / Warehouse Associate may also utilize pallet jacks to move equipment and parts to different locations within the warehouse. The Shipping and Receiving / Warehouse Associate reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. This position also works with representatives in other departments to answer questions about incoming shipments, backorders and other issues related to parts inventory. This position works on site at W.D. Matthews in the shipping area, standing at a bench or in a warehouse for the majority of the day. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work based on the urgency of outgoing and incoming shipments. This position requires the use of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Navision to track incoming and outgoing shipments and adjust inventory levels accordingly. Prior shipping and receiving and / or warehouse experience is required.
