Claims Specialist Auto
The Claims Assistant will be responsible for filing and tracking claims for Wright Companies applicable to the described job. The Claims Assistant will interact with employees, attorneys and outside vendors for various reasons including but not limited to gathering data, claims reporting and identifying trends. The Claims Assistant will report to the Claims Manager Auto. This position is remote after initial training is completed.
Responsibilities:
- Review incoming Preliminary Incident Reports / Motor Vehicle Accident reports and obtain information from parties involved in-order to present/file claim. This may include, but not be limited to, obtaining police reports, witness statements, speaking with employees and their supervisors, etc.
- Maintain contact with involved parties throughout the lifetime of the incidents/claims.
- Work with claims representative, legal counsel and other parties involved in the claims process to move claim towards resolution. This may include, but not be limited to, being active in mediation, arbitration, and hearings.
- Maintain and update knowledge of all terminology as applicable to automobile claims.
- Review incoming correspondence and direct to appropriate internal/external parties.
- File claims in accordance with company standards
- Create reports which analyze claims information or to track claims until they are closed
- Work closely with insurance company to manage all claims from beginning to end
- Evaluate company’s current policies and create methods of improvement
- Manage Motor Vehicle Accident repairs process by coordinating and maintaining active log of vehicles in repair shops for all operating companies
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
Experience/Requirements:
- Experience with automobile claims (claims related)
- Prior experience in a claims/insurance atmosphere
- Experience with Excel and Word Required
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Self-driven with ability to take self-direction to complete projects
