Position: Paraprofessional
W.E.B. Du Bois Regional Middle School
Requirements/Qualifications:
Associates Degree or High School Diploma with a passing grade on Paraprofessional exam. Demonstrated experience and/or willingness for working with students with Special Needs, IEPs and behavior plans. De-escalation training preferred. Demonstrated experience working with students with social and emotional disabilities. Demonstrated experience implementing behavior plans, positive behavior supports, socially and emotionally responsive practices and data collection. Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and professionalism in response to complex situations. Demonstrated ability to be part of highly collaborative teams. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally. May require lifting of up to sixty (60) pounds. Other qualifications as established by the District.
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
(School Year Position - paid for 6 ½ hrs./day - workday of 7/hr./day with ½ hour unpaid lunch)
