What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Superintendent position at W.E.B. DuBois Public Charter School?
Basic Functions:
Under the direction of the Executive Director oversee charter school principals at multiple charter school locations. Ensure school increase student academic achievement. Improve the culture, learning, and social development of the student population at each sites. Ensure protocals are adhered to and safety measures at each school. Supervise and evaluate the performance of personal.
Duties:
Attend parent council, school site council, and Board of Director meetings.
Coordinate on weeklyschool site visitations with Principals.
Complete all reporting including LEA,LCAP, and Schoolwide Title 1 Plans
Ensure Fiscal solvency
Development new programs and ideas to grow each school.
Manage parent compliants and resolve parent and student issues when needed.
Facilitate committies and meetings to complete reporting and progress notes for the school.
Review all media and advertisements
Adhere to all policies and ensure that staff adhere to all policies and laws that apply to charters.
Formulate reports using student data for meetings, and discussion
Keep direct communication with Executive Director/Supervisor
Ensure oversite and monitoring of charter school activities
Conduct unannounced visitatons to school sites
Develop Professional developments for management
Knowledge and Abilities
Must have 5 years experience working at charter schools in a management position.
Must be able to multitask and follow direction, protocals and charter laws.
Must have a in dept understanding of charter laws and regulations.
Must understand what is needed to accomplish charter renewal
Must be able to gather and put together statistical research, student data and reports and interpret them.
Must be able to evaluate programs and know how to gain student achievement
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
