Description
The primary function of the Assistant Project Engineer is to assist the project team with some of the administrative and engineering functions associated with a particular construction project.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Skills
- Assist with job office set up
- Assist the project team with the initial set up of CMiC, i.e. Submittal Log Registry
- Prepare and maintain Submittal Logs
- Assist the project team with the initial set up of PlanGrid to organize the contract documents for the teams use
- Assist the project team with managing progress photo documentation via utilizing PlanGrid
- Assist in entering RFI's in CMiC and the distribution to appropriate project team members
- Prepare and maintain RFI Logs in CMiC
- Assist in posting RFI's to Contract Documents and maintaining the accuracy of the projects as-builts
- Assist with updating the Material Procurement Log and assist with expediting the procurement of all materials / equipment
- Work with the projects PE(s), SPE(s) and APM(s) to compile contract close out documents (O&M manuals, As-Builts, etc.)
- Attend project meetings and assist in the preparation / distribution of meeting minutes
- Assist in the creation and organization of all closeout binders
- Assist the project team with meeting minutes as needed

Physical Demands :
Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to use construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction, when visiting a WEO job site. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear and stand throughout the workday.

Work Environment :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in one of WEO's California regional offices and on occasion may be required to visit the construction work site where the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
