Description:
Our production supervisor needs help! You will play a vital role in the production of over 1300 perennial
varieties. As you gain experience, you may also take on additional responsibilities, which may involve more
detailed work in the future. Note that this position may require endurance and good physical condition at times, as well as the ability to remain in one place for extended periods. You may be asked to lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds repeatedly. Don’t worry if you have limited experience, training is provided in all tasks. Responsibilities:
- Planting
- Plant preparation (trimming, weeding, etc)
- Receiving (possibly)
- Watering
When planting is caught up, you may be asked to perform other tasks in different areas of the nursery.
Requirements:
- Ability to repeatedly lift approximately 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand in one place for extended periods
- Ability to walk all day (when planting is caught up)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a group setting
- Ability to operate farm tractors is a plus.
- Ability to speak or understand Spanish is a plus.
- Knowledge of plants, especially perennials is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic safety rules and precautionary measures is a plus, but training is performed annually (safety gear will be provided as needed)
