The Quality Control Engineer will need to have a fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations and performance, leadership, training methods, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems, and professional ethics.

- Have a fundamental understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up.
- Able to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem-solving.
- Able to plan, control, and assure product and process quality in accordance with Quality principles, which includes planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems.
- Able to plan, control, and assure product application, including design, manufacturing, and construction.
- Have a thorough understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques. This includes knowledge of management and planning tools, Quality tools, preventive and corrective actions, and how to overcome barriers to quality improvements.
- Be able to acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods across a spectrum of business environments to facilitate process analysis and improvements.
- Understand risk analysis philosophies and methodologies and their applications.
- Interact with supervisor, process owner, process operators, and other interested parties to perform assigned tasks.
- Assist personnel with determining and developing ways to make their jobs easier and better.
- Develop, record, and assist with implementing company procedures and work instructions.
- Audit system according to existing recorded information and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate nonconformities and opportunities for improvement to determine the cause(s), corrections, and corrective actions accordingly.
Quality Management Systems
Assists the Quality Manager in all facets of maintaining the integrity of the W-Industries Quality Management System (QMS).Assists in the execution of internal, Client, and 3rd party audits to assess the compliance to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and the internal Quality system requirements.Assists in the development of Quality system processes, procedures, and work instructions as part of the W-Industries continual improvement initiatives.Participates and / or leads quality training and development programs to promote learning and Quality culture development in the organization.Participates and / or leads scheduled Quality team meetings; provides inputs to assigned continual improvement Projects.Participates and provides input to Management Review, as required.Project Quality
Represents Quality Management on the Project core team and liaises between the Quality representatives.Participates and provides feedback to contract review and tendering as required.Participates in Engineering design reviews and provides input to drawings, calculations, specifications, and other design outputs.Develops, implements and updates Project Quality Plans.Participates and provides input to Project Risk analysis.Develops, updates, releases and provides direction in the implementation and execution of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).Provides input, designs, and releases Project specific procedures and work instructions related to Project Quality applications.Provides support and feedback to the Supply Quality and Supply Management on Supplier Quality related issues such as purchase order reviews, supplier ITP reviews, Quality Surveillance coordination, Supplier Non-conformity, and participates in Supplier reviews / audits as needed.Documents investigate and close product / service Quality problems (NCRsLeads and / or participates in Root Cause(s) Analysis (RCA) teams; gathers, analyzes, and implements corrective and preventative actions to reduce or eliminate causes.Coordinates and / or participates in customer complaint investigations.Assists Document Management to ensure timely development and release of final documentation; Reviews and approves Project manufacturing record data books for Project compliance.Assists in the execution of Project audits and Project assessments, as required, to ensure compliance to contractual obligations and to the defined scope of work.Participates and / or leads project kick-off meetings, status update meetings or other Project defined meetings per the Project schedule.Participates in Project Gate Reviews, as scheduled.Reports the Project Quality metrics status per the required schedule. i.e. Weekly Quality dashboard identifying NCRs, CARs, Audits, other KPIs / metrics, as required.Reports Quality lessons learned to Project Managers and Quality Manager.Communicates Project Quality changes to all relevant team members.Required Skills
Working knowledge of company policies, procedures, products, and services.Working knowledge of applicable statutory and regulatory requirements e.g. ISO 9001, AWS, ASME Sec IX, VIII (Div 1 & 2).Read and understand mechanical and structural drawings.Interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal, written, and presentation.Working knowledge of computers and software such as Word, Excel, etc.Must be able to acquire a TWIC.Travel both and Domestic and Internationally as and when required.Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or other relevant discipline or equivalent working experience (3 years minimum).3 years experience in Quality Management, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control.3 years experience in oilfield applications, manufacturing, or engineering.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or equivalent.Working knowledge of ISO, API, ASME, & ASNT.Working knowledge of Project Quality Management.ISO 9000 Lead auditor certification.Acquired Quality certifications such as ASQ - MQ / OE; CQE, CQA, CQT, etc.Trained in Facilitation practices (Meeting, Group, or Workshop).Working knowledge of welding applications and NDT.Offered Benefits
