Job Title: Global Quality and Compliance Manager

Department: Quality (Member of both Quality and Sourcing Leadership Teams)

Reports To: Director of Quality with dotted line to Director of Strategic Sourcing

Location: Memphis, TN

Summary:

The Global Quality and Compliance Manager plays a crucial role in guaranteeing the quality and compliance of:

·         Internal manufactured products.

·         Finished goods produced by our partners located around the world.

·         Raw and Packaging materials obtained from our global supply chain.

This position oversees the development, implementation, and management of supplier quality programs, conducting audits, fostering continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with all pertinent regulatory standards and internal specifications. This individual serves as the primary liaison between the company and its suppliers on matters related to quality and compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Supplier Quality Programs

o   Collaborates with Strategic Sourcing, Internal Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and R&D to develop, implement and maintain Supplier Quality Programs.

·         Supplier Qualification and Onboarding

o   Oversees audit/assessment of current and future suppliers ensuring compliance with requirements.

o   Plays a major role in the supplier selection process, evaluation of potential suppliers and the supplier qualification process.

o   Oversees validations and qualifications of supplier facility to qualify manufacturing processes and overall quality of part/component manufacturing.

·         Performance Monitoring and Auditing:

o   Create benchmarks to measure both internal and external quality performance. Reports on key site metrics and KPIs.

o   Oversees supplier quality rating program.

o   Manages supplier quality audit program and participates as needed. Including Asia SQE program.

·         Manage Corrective Actions:

o   Provides support in investigations and reports on corrective actions and timeliness including NCMRs, SCARS and supplier related CAPAs.

o   Takes the lead on all supplier quality-related investigations and corrective actions.

·         Compliance Management:

o   Collaborates with Regulatory Affairs team to ensure that all our products are compliant with existing Safety & Regulatory requirements.

o   Acts as a liaison with suppliers to ensure they are prepared for emerging Rules and Regulations.

o   Manages review of information provided by supplier producing locations for adequacy, as needed.

o   Represents Supplier Quality performance internally and externally including during the interactions with regulatory agencies and suppliers.

·         Continuous Improvement:

o   Develop strategy for continuous quality improvement.

o   Develop risk-based programs and procedures for product location transfers, new supplier qualifications and supplier performance and productivity improvement.

 

·         Receiving Inspection:

o   Oversees the Receiving Inspection program.

o   Ensure proper review of COAs prior to material unloading and maintains COA database.

o   Works with Sourcing team to ensure proper credit for non-conforming materials.

·         Collaboration:

o   Manages Quality participation in project team meetings for new product development.

o   Key member of project teams approving changes to existing products/components.

o   Leads any product/process transfers of suppliers or to & from in house to suppliers. Manages the Part Evaluation and Approval Process (PEAP).

o   Partners with Sourcing to keep the approved vendor lists current

o   Partners with suppliers to identify and implement industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

·         Five years of experience in supplier quality management

·         Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)

·         Experience in conducting supplier audits and managing corrective actions

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

·         Certification in Supplier Quality (e.g. ASQ CSQP)

·         Certification in Supply Management (e.g., CPSM, ASCM)

·         Experience with specific industry regulations (e.g., EPA, FDA, CFR Part 820)

·         Experience with supplier quality/performance management software

·         Lean, Six Sigma, or Total Productive Maintenance experience/certifications
