Manufacturing Engineer
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Development and implementation of new processes and equipment for the manufacturing process.
- Design and/or improve fixturing for manufacturing.
- Provide engineering support for the process technicians, Tool & Die makers and Maintenance on special projects as needed.
- Develop and submit research packages for process and equipment improvements, submitting for Capital Plan.
- Work with other engineering team members to ensure capital projects are transferred to manufacturing in a timely fashion. This will include the writing of SOP’s, training documentation, specifications and coordinating training for both the technician group but manufacturing associates as well.
- Assist with training program for all manufacturing associates.
- Assist in New Design & existing product development, ensuring all time lines are met.
- Develop effective processes for current and new product designs, ensuring to issue required new specifications & SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) to manufacturing.
- Associate will be required to travel from time to time.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, Manufacturing or Mechanical discipline preferred.
- One to 2 years’ experience preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor CAD/CAM or equivalent solid modeling software preferred.
- Demonstrated Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) required. Knowledge of D365 operating system a plus.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
- This position does not supervise any employees.
