Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Production Controller that oversees material handling, storage, parts procurement, and overall supply chain in a production environment.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Under minimal supervision, plans and coordinates production plan and schedule using considerations such as low cost, timeliness, and effectiveness.

• Collaborates within project teams comprised of engineers and project managers to launch various demands.

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between engineers and the Technical Manager.

• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

• Coordinates all production and repair functions in the execution of assigned work scope.

• Updates and maintains the Integrated Master Schedule to ensure proper planning of all projects.

• Records and documents material movements and disposition from incoming receipt through repair cycle, and prepares return shipment to customer.

• Logs and tracks production progress and reviews factors affecting production schedules.

• Locates materials and supplies by receiving or pulling.

• Sources and orders materials as required.

• Verifies materials listed on repair orders and monitors material inventories.

• Identifies, pulls, packs, and crates stock for shipment.

• Creates and updates tracking reports and correspondence.

• Trains lower-level production coordinators.

• Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Two (2) years of experience in materials management.

• Six (6) years of experience in production coordination.

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.

• Work requires some knowledge of business and a strong command of the English language.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to speak effectively over the telephone and before groups of customers or employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
