CDL A Driver

We are seeking a Class A Driver for our Reading, PA location at Russell Plywood - a Division of Würth Baer Supply Company.

Location: 401 Old Wyomissing Rd, Reading, PA 19611

Day shift Monday-Friday. 5:00am to 3:00pm ET. Time and a half after 40 hours.

Biweekly pay. Increase to $24.00/HR after 90 days for being in good standing.

$2000 Performance Bonus (before applicable taxes): Drivers in good standing with the company will receive $1,000 after 90 days of employment and another $1,000 after 180 days of employment. Safety, attendance, attitude, and consistent on-time arrivals to work each day are all calculated into the decision of being considered in good standing with the company.

You will help load the company truck and transport plywood to customers when needed. The cargo consists of long sheets of plywood such as 8'x4', 1'0x4', 12'x5' etc. As one of the most often seen representatives of the Company, you will conduct yourself in a positive and friendly manner and provide quality service with each delivery. When needed, you will assist with general warehouse operations (forklift operation, receiving, picking, etc.).

Attention to safety is vital, the use of proper lifting and lowering techniques should be used at all times (adjust your body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, and pivot). You may also need to become accustomed to the fluctuating temperatures in which you will perform your duties. As this position is customer-facing, an excellent customer focus attitude is critical for success.

Driver Schedule, Stops, And Vehicle

Drivers will work a base shift of Monday-Friday during daytime hours with the expectation to complete their daily route. You MUST be able to drive a flatbed with a 10-speed manual transmission.

Qualifications

• A valid Class A
• 2 years of experience driving manual transmission 10-speed Tractor Trailer is required
• A clean driving record for the past three years in all states where licensed
• Pass a medical examination for commercial driver fitness and obtain the required medical card in compliance with 49 CFR 391.43
• Pass a pre-employment screening for DOT controlled substances, in compliance with 49 CFR 40 and 49 CFR 382.
• Previous warehousing experience preferred
