Proposal Manager
Solutions Sales Support (Americas) is now looking for a Proposal Manager to strengthen our team. The desired location for this position is Houston TX.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant field of study, and 5 – 10 years of experience in developing and managing proposals in the power generation market.
As a Proposal Manager, you will focus on these responsibilities:
- Support in lead origination and market development in designated countries (region)
- Proposal Management work
- Configure sales solutions according to customer requirements
- Leading technical clarification management (deviations, clarifications and risk)
- Lead technical risk mitigation work
- Generate sales opportunity cost calculation for new build projects
- Ensure accurate cost calculation and co-ordinate/support follow up of cost deviations between sales budget and actual costs
- Lead technical discussions and support contract negotiations with customers
- Participate in Risk & Opportunity reviews
- Participate in Sales Kick-off meetings (MS01)
- Support and/or participate in Win / Lost sales project analysis
To be successful in this job, you should have/be:
- Advanced user of MS Office.
- Excellent English skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Interpersonal and problem-solving skills are a must.
- The ability to work effectively in a global team environment under minimal supervision.
- Goal focused and a "can do" attitude.
- Willingness to travel.
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, ideally related to power generation industry.
- Five or more years of related energy industry engineering experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of the energy market sector.
