Job description
W. Silver Recycling is one of the nation's leading recyclers, with a presence covering the Southwest United States and Mexico. W. Silver Recycling has been operating for over 100 years servicing the unique by-product needs of manufacturers in the southwest United States and Mexico.
We are seeking a Supervisor for our site in Donna, TX. This position supports our entire warehouse/steelyard department. The ideal candidate will possess the quality of being detail oriented, familiar with warehouse operations and is computer literate.
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure departmental compliance with all company and industry safety requirements
- Conduct weekly meetings for safety awareness & training
- Receive the Sales Order and check against inventory
- Assist with scheduling OTR and coordinating shipping/delivery
- Operational effectiveness of the production area including flow / quality and sorting
- Work closely with all production employees to ensure smooth/efficient operations and customer service
- All production sorting stations and balers are efficiently running according to plan
- Coordinates and reviews with the team the daily production schedule
- Check inbound material for proper grading, sorting and packaging
- Inspect for quality of material and supervise loading to ensure proper loading according to DOT regulations and customer specifications
- Receive Daily Production Report from production stations and keep accurate count of all grades and types of non-ferrous materials
- Other Duties as assigned
