W&T Offshore is searching for an experienced Accounting Clerk. This is an exciting direct-hire opportunity to work for an established upstream O&G company with 40 years of leadership in the Gulf of America.
WORKING LOCATION: Houston Office - 5718 WESTHEIMER RD 77057
FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Full-Time
SCHEDULE: M-T, 9 hours (in-office)/F, 4 hours (remote)
FLSA STATUS: Hourly – Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for processing invoices and the assigned responsibilities that accompany this task.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for invoice coding & data entry (manually and using ProcureIt). Invoice routing to the appropriate individual(s) for approval
- Proof voucher packets to ensure the accuracy of data input
- Prepare statement reconciliations as needed for past-due accounts
- Follow up on invoices not approved within 60 days
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s Degree or college-level business courses desired.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in Accounts Payable.
- Oil & Gas experience is preferred.
- This position requires the ability to provide high-volume data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
- Must demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team member and display excellent organizational skills.
- Experience with MS Word and MS Excel.
