Service Manager
Location: 3101 Main St, Rowlett, TX 75088
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year, plus potential for maximum bonus of up to $25,000 annually based on performance metrics and goals (bonuses paid out monthly).
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (In-office, Salaried Position)
Role Overview:
The Service Manager will oversee and lead our team of Service Technicians and Installation Crew, ensuring high-quality service, efficient operations, and exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong leader who can manage scheduling, track key performance indicators (KPIs), optimize workforce efficiency, and maintain compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Supervision and Leadership
- Supervise, train, and evaluate Service Technicians and Installation Crew.
- Conduct ride-alongs with technicians and provide constructive feedback.
- Assign apprentices daily and communicate assignments in advance.
- Lead weekly technician meetings to review performance and address concerns.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure all service and installation work meets high-quality standards.
- Obtain necessary permits and coordinate with Oncor and the city for power restoration on Meter Releases.
- Review and close out previous day’s jobs as needed.
- Coordinate with Accounting on completed sales and installation jobs for processing.
- Manage dispatch fees, warranty task codes, and job invoicing.
Goal & Performance Management
- Set, communicate, and monitor individual and team goals.
- Optimize workload scheduling to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure effective technician dispatching.
- Track and analyze key KPIs, including:
- Average ticket per technician
- Closing rate per technician
- W3 Winners Conversion Ratio
- Service fees
- Maintain a budgeted gross profit margin of 15% by controlling field material and labor costs.
- Meet or exceed all monthly and yearly company targets.
Customer Satisfaction
- Address and resolve customer concerns to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Identify and maximize lead opportunities to grow business.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all operations comply with local, state, federal, and company regulations.
- Conduct and submit weekly safety reports.
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage department budget effectively.
- Oversee inventory, equipment, and service fleet operations.
- Review and approve new products and service offerings.
Administrative Duties
- Approve timesheets weekly.
- Provide required documentation for insurance purposes.
- Review Qmerit quotes before submission.
Additional Duties
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the General Manager or Owner.
