About the Job :
Company is a well-established, full-service general contractor specializing in high-end custom residential, new commercial construction, private schools, and industrial / commercial projects across Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
We are looking for an Assistant Superintendent to join our team, working closely with our in-field superintendent on all aspects of construction projects. This role has growth potential, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time superintendent position.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise subcontractors, ensuring performance monitoring and issue resolution.
- Maintain and update project schedules using Smartsheet or similar software.
- Assist in adhering to construction budgets by monitoring expenses, identifying variances, and managing RFIs.
- Contribute to achieving construction project goals by establishing standards and protocols, coordinating staff and subcontractors, and resolving design issues.
- Foster a safe and secure work environment by enforcing standards, complying with regulations, and conducting weekly safety meetings.
- Stay updated on emerging construction practices and standards.
