Our client is seeking a skilled Automation and Controls Specialist to join their maintenance team. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery and facility systems.

Job Overview

The Automation Specialist will serve as a key resource for production, focusing on the repair and maintenance of automation-related equipment and other production and facility systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and practical problem-solving skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair custom electro-mechanical systems
  • Perform PLC programming and diagnostics
  • Implement and maintain servo systems
  • Program and apply robotic systems
  • Design and create electrical panel layouts
  • Install and troubleshoot vision systems
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team on various repair tasks

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Proficiency in PLC and HMI diagnostics
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Experience with electrical panel layout and design
  • Familiarity with vision system repair and maintenance
  • Knowledge of servo system repair and optimization
  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Education And Experience

  • Associate's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, OR
  • Electrician license, OR
  • High school diploma with 5 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in industrial automation
