We are looking for a combustion burner, and controls engineer and / or technician for the design and installation of PLC based boiler / burner and related combustion process control systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation of boiler and burner equipment.
Key Responsibilities :
System Design and Development :
Develops control systems for burner applications, including fuel and air delivery, ignition, and flame monitoring.
Optimizes burner performance for efficiency, safety, and emissions compliance.
Designs and implements control algorithms and software for burner operation.
Testing and Troubleshooting :
Conducts rigorous testing of burner control systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
Diagnoses and resolves issues in burner control systems to maintain optimal operation.
Collaboration and Communication :
Collaborates with other engineers and technicians to integrate burner control systems into larger processes.
Provides technical support and guidance to plant personnel on burner operation and maintenance.
Optimization and Improvement :
Continuously improves burner control systems for better performance, efficiency, and safety.
Develops and implements strategies for reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
Safety :
Ensure that burner control systems are designed and operated according to safety standards and regulations.
Implements safety features and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure safe operation.
Skills and Knowledge :
Engineering Fundamentals :
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, combustion, and control systems.
Software Proficiency : Familiarity with software tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, and various CAD programs.
Programming : Knowledge of programming languages like Python, C , or MATLAB for algorithm development and system simulation.
Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze complex systems and data to develop effective controls strategies.
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) : Experience programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing PLC controls systems in design, implementation, and maintenance, especially with solutions including Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Rockwell.
Implementation and Testing : Installing control systems and conducting rigorous testing to ensure functionality and reliability.
Troubleshooting : Diagnosing and fixing issues in control systems to maintain optimal operation.
Control Systems :
Knowledge of PLC, HMI, and other control technologies used in burner applications.
Burner Technology :
Familiarity with different types of burners, fuel systems, and combustion processes.
Problem-Solving :
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to burner control systems.
Communication :
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with other engineers and technicians.
