Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in generating new business, developing sales strategies, and building relationships with clients. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and maintaining existing relationships with clients and establishing and growing. Gas detection systems business in the assigned geographic territory, by identifying new target customers and growing the installed base with existing customers. This individual is also responsible to assist management to identify, manage and drive manufacturer's representatives in the territory.
Responsibilities :
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets
Conduct market research to identify potential customers and competitors
Identify new business opportunities and generate leads
Build and maintain relationships with clients
Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients
Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to develop new products and services
Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Attend industry events and conferences to stay up-to-date with market trends
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
Ability to travel 30% of the time required
Experience with gas detection, especially in oil and gas industry
Identify potential customers, prioritize accounts and opportunities to produce the best sales and profitability results.
Manage time and resources on sales into different market segments such as oil, gas, petrochemical, water treatment, food and beverage etc., especially to the application driven markets, through direct sales efforts and managing manufacturer representative activities.
Build strong relationships with end-user decision makers and key influencers
Conduct research as part of the pre-call planning process to identify key decision makers and influencers, and uncover customer needs
Understand the sales cycle of fire and gas systems and develop relationships across the buying cycle with engineering contractors
Focus on system solution selling and identify special needs within customer's applications.
Differentiate by effectively presenting our products and systems as solutions to customer needs and business issues
Analyze fire and gas systems market trends
Analyze competition's strengths, weaknesses, sales and marketing methods and share this information within the company.
Develop short-mid-long-term sales plan and apply time and territory management skills to maximize productivity.
Gain knowledge of the features, benefits and selling points of the products and systems
Presents to customers as a technical authority in fire and gas systems and uses consultative application focused sales techniques
Represent at technological briefings and trade shows as assigned
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in business, or related field
Proven track record in sales and business development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
