Qualifications :
- Experience : Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management in the automotive industry, focusing on plastics injection molding.
- Education : Bachelor's / Diploma or equivalent degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge : In-depth understanding of the 4W automotive sector and plastics injection molding processes.
- Skills : Strong project management, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Technical Expertise : Experience with procurement systems and ERP tools. Ability to perform cost analyses and implement VA / VE activities.
- Incoterms & International Logistics Knowledge : Expertise in international trade compliance and Incoterms.
Key Responsibilities :
Part Development & Specification Understanding : Collaborate with engineering and design teams to fully understand part specifications and ensure suppliercapability aligns with technical requirements.
Supplier Sourcing & Comparative Analysis : Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for plastic injection molded parts. Prepare detailed comparative analyses ofsuppliers based on quality, cost, and lead times.
Cost Reduction Initiatives : Drive cost reduction activities by identifying opportunities for savings through supplier negotiations, process improvements, andalternative materials. Implement cost-saving strategies while ensuring part performance and quality.
Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA / VE) : Lead VA / VE activities to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or performance.Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to propose alternative designs, processes, or materials to enhance product value.
Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) : Analyze all factors contributing to TCO, including material, production, logistics, and long-term maintenance costs, to ensure thebest value for the company.
Supplier Management & Negotiation : Build and maintain strong supplier relationships. Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions, including Purchase OrdersPOs), contracts, and NDAs.
Part Approval & Quality Management : Work closely with the Quality team to ensure parts meet approval standards. Coordinate inspections, testing, andvalidation to ensure compliance before mass production.
Project Management & Development Tracking : Oversee project timelines, ensuring that development schedules and supplier commitments align withproduction requirements. Ensure timely delivery of parts and monitor supplier compliance.
Delivery & Packaging Coordination : Track and manage the delivery schedule. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure that parts are packaged to meet internationalshipping standards and prevent damage.
Mass Production & Quality Inspections : Ensure mass production parts meet all quality specifications. Conduct or coordinate inspections to validate partreadiness for full-scale production.
Contracts & MIS Management : Manage the procurement documentation, including POs, contracts, Management Information Systems (MIS) reports, and NDAs.Ensure that all processes are documented and compliant with internal policies.
Incoterms & International Trade Compliance : Ensure that international trade requirements are met. Coordinate logistics based on Incoterms to streamlinedelivery from global suppliers.
Cross-functional Coordination : Collaborate with internal teams, including production, logistics, quality, and finance, to ensure seamless procurement operationsand delivery of parts according to production schedules.
