Our client is looking for an experienced Commercial Signage Engineer to join their growing team. The Commercial Signage Engineer is responsible for the design and engineering of commercial signage, ensuring compliance with structural, electrical, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Must be able to review, stamp and provide structural design & analysis documentation for shop drawings.
Provide wind load calculations and specify mounting hardware sizes including steel support size and footings for pylon signs, monument signs, masonry signs, blade signs, awnings and light poles. This would be inclusive of splice and saddle details, base plate details, anchor bolts and sizes.
Work with our internal team to develop and adopt standardized sign engineering to streamline the process.
Direct integration of technical activities and products, evaluate and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. Control expenditures within limitations of project budget.
Use computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;
6-8 years of related experience.
Licensing in other states preferred but not required.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must possess artistic ability and an understanding of graphic arts.
Previous experience in a creative design and/or engineering work environment.
Experience:
structural engineering: 5 years (Preferred)
