Responsibilities include :
a) participate in a program of Orientation and Training conducted by the DEP Bureau of Public Affairs (BPA) immediately after Notice to Proceed.
- b) arrange for the walk through of the Project site(s) to assess its impact on the community;
- c) notify and update the Design-Builder and DEP of persons, businesses, and properties that may require additional planning and coordination to minimize the interruption impacts, if the Work involves any impact or interruption (e.g., water service interruption, traffic disruption, etc.) to the community during startup or operations;
- d) assist in the distribution and posting of notices within targeted communities, where and when indicated by DEP;
- e) develop and maintain a current calendar of significant community events (e.g., ethnic / religious festivals, street fairs, marathons, parades, play street closings and block parties);
- f) develop a Community Notification Network, identifying key community institutions and organizations by name, association and address. The COL shall keep field office records regarding community interaction, including complaints received and all correspondence, meetings, and task force minutes;
g) act as list moderator for the email-based construction notification system, and be responsible for the preparation and dissemination of email updates. The moderator will be required to validate his / her email address with the server prior to sending out any notifications to the list. The Design-Builder and COL shall work with the DEP prior to responding to any queries from the neighboring community
h) prepare a stakeholder management plan that includes the communication requirements for public, government, and external stakeholders.
