Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage the construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination:
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Oversee the entire construction process, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth workflow.
Budget & Cost Management:
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring effective use of resources.
Monitor and control costs, review and approve contractor invoices, and ensure expenses align with project projections.
Identify and resolve cost overruns, delays, and changes in scope.
Scheduling & Timeline Management:
Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
Identify potential delays or disruptions and implement mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
Team Leadership & Supervision:
Lead, supervise, and motivate project teams, ensuring clear communication and task delegation.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to subcontractors and team members on-site.
Quality Control & Compliance:
Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and regulations.
Review and approve work completed, making recommendations for improvements as necessary.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, project stakeholders, and team members.
Provide regular updates to clients, senior management, and other stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
Resolve conflicts, negotiate with vendors, and manage client expectations effectively.
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop proactive solutions to mitigate them.
Manage change orders, and contract modifications, and ensure proper documentation throughout the project's lifecycle.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all project documentation, including contracts, permits, and daily logs.
Prepare and present regular progress reports, including financial and scheduling data, to upper management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
5 years of experience in construction project management or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and industry best practices.
Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and teams effectively.
Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and resolve issues promptly.
In-depth knowledge of local construction laws, safety standards, and building codes.
PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to visit construction sites and perform on-site inspections regularly.
Ability to lift or move materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.
Flexibility to travel to various job sites as required.
