What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Technician position at W3Global Inc.?
Key Responsibilities:
Perform integration of numerous different types of control systems with various different communication protocols, including BACnet, LonWorks, and Modbus.
Program and configure HVAC control systems for efficient operation, ensuring compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
Design and develop intuitive front-end graphical interfaces for system monitoring and control.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with DDC controllers and other HVAC control components.
Conduct point-to-point verifications to ensure the accuracy of system installations and functionality.
Provide technical support during system commissioning, air balance, and troubleshooting stages.
Ensure proper documentation of all systems and work performed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting, particularly in HVAC control systems.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and how they interact with control technologies.
Proficient in the integration and programming of BACnet, LonWorks, and Modbus devices.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and their application to HVAC controls.
Ability to independently manage tasks while also collaborating effectively with a team.
High level of self-motivation and dedication to quality workmanship.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
