Our Client is seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead their engineering team and drive process improvements. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the engineering and document control team
Drive process improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and customer satisfaction
Manage document control operations and procedures
Collaborate with customers' engineering groups
Oversee SMT equipment programming and operation
Conduct defect review and root cause analysis
Perform rework processes and PCA cleaning
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
Minimum 10 years of experience in electronic manufacturing services, with at least 5 years in new product introductions
Extensive knowledge of PCBA processes, high-level assemblies, and box build
Strong client-facing and communication skills
Lean/Six Sigma experience required, Black Belt certification preferred
Ability to lead change and transformation initiatives
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and PCB design/CAD tools (Valor, Cadence, Cam 350, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
Experience in project management and understanding of business finance
Background in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or medical devices preferred
Technical Skills:
SMT manufacturing and EMS experience
Knowledge of IPC and J-STD standards
Familiarity with 2D and 5DX x-ray image interpretation
Experience with oven reflow profile creation and debugging
Ability to troubleshoot machinery (mechanical, electrical, and software)
Stencil design experience using various tools
