Summary :
The EHS Manager oversees environmental, health, safety, and security (EHS&S) programs to protect employees and reduce environmental impact. They ensure compliance with laws and drive continuous improvement in safety practices.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Leadership :
Ensure EHS compliance and performance.
Lead and mentor the EHS team.
Guide the Executive Crisis Response Team.
Report EHS performance to senior leadership.
Act as the primary contact for regulatory agencies.
Manage workers' compensation claims and insurance programs.
Promote continuous improvement in safety and environmental practices.
2. Environmental Management :
Develop and maintain environmental policies and systems (ISO 14001).
Manage permits, audits, and environmental inspections.
Oversee hazardous and industrial waste management.
Provide training on environmental regulations.
Identify and implement cost-saving environmental projects.
3. Health & Safety :
Create and implement safety policies and training.
Conduct regular safety audits and ergonomic assessments.
Investigate incidents and address safety hazards.
Manage the safety program for construction projects.
Communicate with government agencies on safety compliance.
4. Security Management :
Develop security plans and emergency response guides.
Lead emergency response efforts.
Build partnerships with local authorities for security support.
Skills & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences, or related field (Master's preferred).
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar credential.
5-8 years of EHS experience in manufacturing.
Experience managing workers' compensation programs.
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001 / 45001 standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
