You are interested in elder law, trusts, taxes, asset protection, and learning how people qualify for Medicaid and other various government benefits. You are happy to meet with clients for consultations, planning sessions, and signings AND / OR draft and review documents. Our client's highly motivated team is looking to add depth to help them better serve their clients. They perform fulfilling work for their clients and their families by protecting them from excess costs, taxes, and probate traps. They provide comprehensive estate planning and long-term care planning that address all of our clients' aging needs. Clients who are sick receive personalized attention from their elder care coordinators in conjunction with their legal team through their life care planning services. Their Lead Attorneys will : conduct consultations, handle client meetings, answer client questions, review legal documents, draft documents, oversee Associate Attorney and / or Law Clerk, research pertinent codes / cases, work with support staff, and participate in firm social events, as desired. Some same day travel may be required. They have offices in Irmo, Simpsonville, Bluffton, and Charleston.
Requirement :
- Strong attention to detail.
- Writing skills.
- Punctuality.
- Ability to self-manage cases from start to finish.
- 0-2 years' experience in Wills, trusts, & estate law.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and current good standing with South Carolina License State Bar.
